New Tata Nexon launched but priced higher than Hyundai Creta; Here are the features

car news desk,Tata Motors has launched Red Dark Edition versions of the Nexon, Harrier and Safari, which are based on their existing Dark Editions. Prices for the Nexon Red Dark Edition start at Rs 12.35 lakh, ex-showroom. If seen, it is more than the starting price of Hyundai Creta (Rs 10.84 lakh). But, if the company has kept such a high price then it must have given something special. Let’s talk about Nexon Red Dark Edition.

Design and interiors of Tata Nexon Red Dark Edition
The Red Dark Edition of the Nexon gets red accents on the front grille and brake calipers to differentiate it from the existing Dark Edition, while the SUV gets Oberon Black exteriors. There is also a red ‘dark’ badge on the front fender. Some elements have also been carried over from the dark version like the black painted 16-inch alloy wheels. It has a charcoal black paint scheme.

Tata Nexon, Harrier and Safari Red Dark Edition Launched
The red theme is continued in the cabin with diamond-style quilting leatherette seats. The SUV also gets touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charging, ventilated front seats, sunroof and air purifier. There are theme red accents on the door grab handles, center console and steering wheel.

Tata Nexon Red Dark Edition Engine
The Nexon Red Dark Edition is available in both petrol and diesel engine options. Its 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine generates 118bhp power and 170Nm torque while the 1.5-litre powertrain outputs 108bhp and 260Nm. Transmission options include a six-speed manual and an AMT.

Safety of Tata Nexon Red Dark Edition
Tata Nexon is a five-star Global NCAP-rated car, which comes with features like airbags, seat belt warning, overspeed warning, speed sensing door locks and anti-theft engine immobilizer.
