auto news desk, Tata Motors currently remains the largest electric car selling company in the country. Last year, the company launched the Tata Tiago EV as its cheapest electric car. It got a good response from the customers and within a short span of time it got more than 20 thousand bookings. But now it seems that trouble may arise for this Tata car. French carmaker Citroen is going to launch its electric premium hatchback Citroen eC3 in India this month. This will be the company’s first electric car in India.
Battery and Range
This electric car has a 29.2 kWh battery pack, which generates 56 bhp and 143 Nm of torque. It achieves 0-100 kmph in 6.8 seconds. The Citroen eC3 claims a range of 320 km on a single charge. Its battery takes 10.5 hours to charge from 10 to 100 percent through a 15amp socket.
Talking about the look and design, it is similar to the petrol-model. The cabin too remains largely similar to the petrol car, but with a few new elements as well. The digital instrument console is a bit different as it gives you all the essential information you need while driving an electric car, like charge status and range on the left. Citroen India has been accepting bookings for the eC3 for quite some time now.
