auto news desk,Hyundai is bringing its popular sedan car Hyundai Verna in a new avatar. It is to be launched on 21 March. Ahead of the launch, Hyundai has officially released the first pictures of the new Verna sedan. Hyundai says that the new Verna will see the company’s sensuous sportiness design language, which is seen in new models like Tucson SUV and Elantra sold abroad. The bookings for this sedan have already started. Customers can book this car for 25 thousand rupees.

The new Hyundai Verna will be quite different from the old model. It gets a split headlamp set-up and a full LED light bar that extends to the sides. The grill is almost Tucson-like. The doors feature attractive character lines and stylish diamond-cut alloy wheels. The back part of this has not come out yet. In this, full LED light bar and crystal elements will be seen in the tail-lamp.
engine power
The big addition to the new Verna will be the 1.5-litre direct injection turbo-petrol, which will produce 160hp. It will be mated to a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox. The second engine will be the 115hp, 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit which has been carried over from the old Verna. Both the engines will be RDE and E20 fuel compatible. The new Verna will not have a diesel engine.
New Hyundai Verna: What will be the price
The new Verna will be sold in EX, S, SX and SX(O) trims. We expect the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine to make it to the top-end models. While the 1.5-litre petrol engine will be used in the lower trims. The new Verna is expected to be priced around Rs 60,000-1 lakh more than the current Verna.
