The new Honda mid-size SUV will make its global debut in June 2023. It will also be launched in India. It will be based on the platform of Honda City. Its length will be around 4.2-4.3 meters. It is expected to get 1.5L petrol and 1.5L petrol strong hybrid powertrain options. There will be no diesel engine in it. ADAS can also be given in this. The price of Honda’s new SUV can be between Rs 12 lakh to Rs 19 lakh.
Tata Motors will launch the Curvv SUV Coupe in the next year i.e. 2024. It will be based on the new GEN 2 platform, which is a modified version of the ALFA platform. It will come in ICE and electric powertrain options. The ICE variant may get 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol direct injection (TGDi) and 1.5L turbo diesel engine options. Its EV version can have a 40kWh battery pack.
New Mahindra XUV500
Mahindra will bring back the XUV500 nameplate with a new mid-size SUV. It will be placed below the XUV700 in the company’s portfolio. The next-gen XUV500 could measure around 4.3-4.4 meters in length. The new model will be based on the XUV300 platform and will come with a front-wheel-drive setup as standard. It is likely to be offered with 1.5-litre turbo petrol and turbo diesel engine options.
