However, there are some SUVs in India that have remained the first choice of people for a long time and Mahindra’s Scorpio is one of them. Even after the launch of several new vehicles, the Scorpio continues to rule the hearts of the people. It is the second best selling SUV of the company, which has created a sales record in the last 11 months.
In the last one year, Scorpio has broken sales records and registered an overall growth of 108 percent in sales. This is much higher than other vehicles like Creta and Nexon. Between February 2022 and February 2023, 68,147 units of Scorpio have been sold and 1898 units have been exported in the same period. While a year before this only 32,635 units of Scorpio were sold.
The Scorpio is now available in the market in two different models – the Scorpio Classic and the Scorpio N model. The demand for Scorpio-N is so high that the waiting period has crossed one year. Whereas, the waiting period for Scorpio Classic is up to 26 weeks. As of January 2023, the company has 1.19 lakh pending orders for the Scorpio and Scorpio-N.
Scorpio N prices start at Rs. 12.74 Lakh and is available in both petrol and diesel variants. Mahindra Scorpio N is available in four variants Z2, Z4, Z6 and Z8. The SUV gets a 2.0-litre M Stallion turbo petrol engine, which generates 200 Bhp power and 380 Nm torque. Apart from this, there is a 2.0-liter diesel engine that generates power of 172 bhp. The car gets both automatic transmission and manual options.
