car news desk,For the fans of Mahindra XUV700 SUV, the company has brought a great news. Because the company is about to add a new variant to the lineup of this car. This new variant will be the MX (E) trim, which will be positioned between the MX and AX3 trims. The new trim will reduce the price gap between the petrol and diesel variants. This variant will get a 2.0L, 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine, which can generate 200bhp power and 380Nm torque. It will get both manual and automatic gearbox options. Due to this variant, the customers will get an economical option of petrol-automatic gearbox.
How is the current engine?
The SUV currently also gets the 2.2L, 4-cylinder mHawk turbo diesel engine, which generates outputs of 155bhp/360Nm and 185bhp 420Nm (MT)/ 450Nm (AT). The company will soon update both these engines as per the RDE (Real Time Driving Emission) norms, which are going to come into effect from 1 April 2023.
