Now the next big launch from the South Korean automaker will be in the form of a micro SUV (Hyundai Micro SUV), which is expected to be launched during the festive season of 2023. Recently, Hyundai’s new micro SUV (Ai3) has been spied during testing. The Hyundai mini SUV codenamed AI3 could come with an all-new design language and boxy stance. It will compete with Tata Punch in the market.
The design and styling of the new Hyundai micro SUV will be different from the Casper, which is sold in select global markets. It will have body panels of a different design. The car will also get Venue-inspired split-setup headlamps, circular fog lamps, alloy wheels and angular taillamps with Hyundai’s new LED DRLs. Steel wheels can be found in lower variants. It will share the platform with the Grand i10 Nios hatchback.
The Hyundai Ai3 is expected to measure around 3.8 meters in length, thus making it the smallest SUV to be offered by Hyundai in India. This means it will be smaller than the Hyundai Casper, which measures 3595mm in length, 1595mm in width and 1575mm-1605mm in height. Its wheelbase is 2400mm.
There are no details on the interiors of the new Hyundai micro SUV as of now, but it is expected to feature a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, semi-digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, sunroof, rear AC Will be equipped with Vents and… could come with connected car technology.
