Currently, only the Urus Performante is sold in India, which costs Rs. 1.5 lakhs, ex-showroom. 4.22 crores. The new Urus S is expected to be priced lower than the Urus Performante. The company will launch the Urus S in the global market in September 2022, as Lamborghini replaces the outgoing Urus with the Urus Performante and Urus S.
Styling of the Lamborghini Urus S
The Lamborghini Urus is slightly different from the S Performante. Both these models have the same design and size. The Urus S gets a single-tone bonnet with cooling vents, but the Urus Performante gets a dual-tone bonnet.
Lamborghini Urus S Engine
The Lamborghini Urus S is offered with the same engine option as the Performante. It gets the 4.0-litre, V8 twin-turbo petrol engine from the Porsche Cayenne Turbo, which generates power of 666hp. It is mated to an 8-speed automatic torque converter gearbox. The Urus S can do 0-100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds.
Lamborghini Urus in India
In July last year, the company had delivered the 200th unit of the Urus in India. In the year 2022, the company had sold 92 cars with an annual increase of 33 percent. The company sells seven variants of the Huracan with the performance of the Urus in the country.
Compete with Audi Q8
The car competes with the Audi Q8, which is powered by a 3.0-litre petrol engine. This car is available in two variants in India. Its initial ex-showroom price is Rs 1.06 crore.
