Auto News Desk – Mercedes-Benz India announced that it will increase the prices of its entire model range by up to 5%. The increased new prices will be applicable from 1 April 2023. The company has made this increase due to the fall in the value of the local currency against the euro. Due to which the company is under constant pressure of rising prices of its products.
Mercedes-Benz also said that for all these reasons the company needed to update the ex-showroom prices of its model range to offset some of these costs. The company strives to pass on a major portion of the cost to its customers. However, this is the second time in the year 2023 that the company has increased the price of its cars.
The new updated prices will be applicable across the entire lineup of vehicles offered by the company in India. That includes the top-of-the-line Maybach along with some other popular models. The price hike will be in the range of Rs 2 lakh to Rs 12 lakh depending on the model. Prices will be increased by Rs 2 lakh for the Mercedes-Benz A-Class and GLA, Rs 7 lakh for the Mercedes-Benz S 350d and Rs 12 lakh for the top-end Mercedes-Maybach S580.
The company recently resumed bookings for its G63 AMG and GLS Maybach. The company said it has received the first batch for these two models and has reduced the waiting period from 24-36 months for the G63 AMG to 12-16 months and for the GLS Maybach 600 in the same colour. This has been reduced to 8 months, while the waiting period for the dual-tone color is 8-10 months.
