Giving this information on Thursday, Mercedes Benz India said that these prices will be effective from April 1. The company is increasing the prices of its vehicles for the second time in three months. The company said that from April 1, 2023, the showroom prices of its vehicles will increase by up to five percent.

The depreciation of the Indian currency rupee has been a constant headache for luxury car companies. These companies import most of the components from abroad, due to which the prices have to increase. Santosh Iyer, managing director and chief executive officer (CEO) of Mercedes-Benz India, said the company is keeping an eye on the exchange rate of the euro and the rupee has depreciated against it in the past few months.
Which car is how expensive?
From April, the price of the company’s ‘A-Class Limousine’ will go up by Rs 2 lakh and that of the ‘GLA SUV KS 350d Limousine’ by Rs 7 lakh. The price of the ‘Mercedes-Maybach S 580’ will increase by Rs 12 lakh.
