Although the strong hybrid technology is still in its infancy in India, it seems that soon the market for strong hybrid cars will grow as diesel engines are disappearing from the market.
Honda Midsize SUV
Honda’s new mid-size SUV may make its global debut in June 2023. After this it will be launched in India. This model will be based on the platform of Honda City and most of its design elements will be similar to Honda’s global SUV. Its length will be around 4.2-4.3 meters. It could come with 1.5L petrol and 1.5L petrol strong hybrid powertrain options.

Maruti Suzuki is preparing to enter the premium MPV segment by the end of this year. This model is expected to be launched in August 2023. It will be based on the Toyota Innova Highcross, which comes with a 2.0L petrol strong hybrid (186PS/206Nm) and a 2.0L naturally aspirated petrol engine (174PS/205Nm). The new Maruti MPV will also come with similar powertrain options. This will be the first offering from the Indo-Japanese automaker to come with ADAS technology.
