South Korean automaker Suzuki has launched the Moka Cafe Edition of the Swift at the Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS). This is a limited edition model, which will be available only in Thailand. The Swift Mokka Cafe Edition is priced at 637,000 baht, which is equivalent to Rs 15.36 lakh. It is costlier than the regular Swift, but features are also very good in it. Maruti Suzuki Swift is sold in the Indian market since 2005. It has been updated several times. Currently, the car is priced between Rs 6-9 lakh (ex-showroom).
Coming to the design changes, the Swift Mocca Cafe Edition gets a number of updates that make it look even more aggressive and sporty. These include an aggressive front lip spoiler, LED DRLs above the fog lights, and body cladding that extends from the front spoiler to its wheel arches and rear bumper. There are twin fox exhaust tips at the rear. The car gets 17-inch after-market alloy wheels.
The Swift Mocca Cafe Edition gets a new dual-tone color combination. The lower part of the car gets warm pastel brown color and strong beige color on its roof and ORVMs. The interiors get pastel brown on the dashboard and door elements and beige and brown nappa leather seat upholstery. It gets a 10-inch infotainment system running Android OS, which matches the interiors.
The model introduced in Thailand comes with a 1.2L petrol engine that generates 83 PS of power and 108 Nm. Engine runs on E20 fuel (Ethanol 20% blend). This makes it one of the more eco-friendly options in the Swift lineup, which has been developed to reduce emissions and improve fuel efficiency. The car is targeted at buyers who are looking for a reliable yet sporty option.
