car news desk, Maruti Suzuki’s Swift hatchback and Dzire compact sedan are quite popular. The company is preparing to bring both these cars in a new avatar soon. Interestingly, both the models will be equipped with Toyota’s Strong Hybrid technology. Due to this, both these cars are going to give better mileage than the current model. According to reports, the new 2024 Maruti Swift and DZire will be powered by a new 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine with a strong hybrid system. The setup will be compliant with the soon-to-be-implemented CAFÉ II (Corporate Average Fuel Economy) norms.
Mileage up to 40 kmpl
It is being said that the new Maruti Swift and DZire will give a mileage of around 35 km to 40 km per liter. If this happens, both the models will become the most fuel efficient cars in the country. The lower trims of the new Swift and DZire could be made available with the existing 1.2L DualJet petrol engine and with a CNG option. These will be offered with manual and AMT gearbox options.
Features will be like this
Apart from stronger hybrid technology, the new Maruti Swift and Dzire will get facelift and feature upgrades. In these, the new SmartPlay Pro + touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity can be given. The display will also support Suzuki voice assist and OTA (over-the-air) updates. Apart from this, features like cruise control, rear view camera, power folding wing mirrors, auto climate control, keyless entry and go, leather wrapped steering will continue.
maruti fronx is coming
The automaker is all set to launch the Maruti Suzuki Fronx compact crossover in April 2023. The car will be powered by a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbo petrol Boosterjet and a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. The first engine gives 100bhp power and 147.6Nm torque, the second 90bhp power and 113Nm torque. It will get both manual and AMT gearboxes.
