auto news desk, Tata Motors launched its affordable Tata Punch SUV in the Indian market about a year back. This Tata arrow hit the right target and this car is getting great response from the customers. Currently, it remains the second best selling car of the company. However, trouble is about to increase soon for Tata Punch.
1. Maruti Suzuki Franks
Maruti Suzuki introduced this SUV at the Auto Expo 2023 and since then its booking is also going on. It is an SUV based on the Baleno. Maruti Franks will be offered in five variants namely Sigma, Delta, Delta+, Zeta and Alpha. There will be two engine options: 1.0L 3-cylinder turbo petrol and 1.2L 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol. The first engine produces 100 PS and 147.6 Nm, while the second produces 90 PS and 113 Nm.
The new compact SUV from Maruti will be available in three gearbox options. You will get 5-speed manual, 5-speed AMT and 6-speed torque converter automatic options. In the features list, Maruti Fronx will offer 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, 6-speaker sound system, leather-wrapped steering wheel, HUD, 360-degree camera, leather-wrapped steering wheel.
2. Hyundai Micro SUV
Hyundai may also bring its micro SUV to India soon. It will be the company’s smallest and cheapest SUV in India. It will be bigger than the Hyundai Casper sold in the South Korean market. Engine options are currently being considered for Hyundai’s next SUV.
