About Maruti Alto 800
Maruti Alto 800 price starts at Rs. 3.54 lakh and goes up to Rs. 5.13 lakh (ex-showroom). A 0.8-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine is also offered with the option of a CNG kit. Talking about petrol mode, this engine outputs 48 PS and 69 Nm while on CNG it outputs 41 PS and 60 Nm.
There is no automatic transmission, only a 5-speed manual transmission is available. Its mileage on CNG is around 31KM. The Alto 800 gets features like a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system (Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), front power windows, keyless entry, dual airbags, ABS with EBD and rear parking sensors.
About Maruti Alto K10
Maruti Alto K10 prices start at Rs 45,000 higher than the Alto 800. Its starting price is Rs 3.99 lakh. The top variant of the K10 costs up to Rs 5.95 lakh (ex-showroom). Its engine is also bigger than the Alto 800. Not only this, the option of automatic transmission is also available in it.
The Alto K10 is powered by a 1.0L petrol engine. Its CNG version also comes. On petrol the engine produces 67 PS and 89 Nm while on CNG the engine produces 57 PS and 82.1 Nm. It also gets idle-engine start/stop technology, which is missing from the Alto 800. The car comes mated to a 5-speed manual (standard), besides an AMT gearbox (optional). It returns a mileage of 33.85KM on CNG. The Alto K10 also gets steering mounted controls which is not available in the Alto 800. Overall, it can be clearly said that it is ahead of Alto 800 in every respect.
