The sales of SUV segment cars are doing well. The waiting period has reduced to a great extent in the SUV segment in the last few months. However, there are still long waiting periods on some popular models.
Mahindra Thar
The waiting period for Mahindra’s most popular off-roader – Thar is 16 to 18 months. The diesel (especially the automatic version) variants are in high demand while the petrol manual model has a slightly shorter waiting period.
Toyota Hyderabad
The Toyota Hayrider was launched in September 2022. At present, there is a waiting period of up to one and a half year in some selected cities. However, in most places it should be delivered within 12 to 14 months.
Maruti Grand Vitara
Maruti Grand Vitara Strong Hybrid has shorter waiting period as compared to Haidar. There is a waiting period of 7 to 9 months depending on the variant. Its mild hybrid version can be found in 6 to 8 months.
Mahindra Scorpio N
The average waiting time for Mahindra’s best-selling Scorpio-N SUV is around 18 months. There is a longer waiting period on the diesel variant as compared to the petrol variant.
Mahindra XUV700
There is a waiting period of up to 14 months in select cities for the Mahindra XUV700. Some of its variants are also being delivered within 12 months. The XUV700 diesel has received a huge number of bookings.
