The company has launched the new Innova Highcross and Urban Cruiser Highrider SUVs in the country only in the last few months. According to the information, the company is going to bring a new coupe SUV based on Maruti Suzuki Franks in the market this year. Also, the company is going to bring the next-generation version of its most popular SUV Fortuner by 2025.
A new three row SUV will come
According to media reports, Toyota is preparing a new 3-row SUV for the Indian market. This SUV will be based on the company’s Corolla Cross SUV sold in the global market. It will be built on the TNGA-C platform, which is also based on the Innova Highcross. The wheelbase of this car can be 2790mm. It could be given the same powertrain as the Innova Hycross. In which 172bhp 2.0L NA petrol generating power and 186Bhp 2.0L petrol self charging powerful hybrid engine.
Next-Gen Fortuner
The next-gen Fortuner can be launched in the global market in 2024. In this, many changes will be made in the design and features with the new engine. It will be built on the company’s new TNGA-F architecture platform. On this, the company also makes its Tundra and Sequoia and Land Cruiser SUVs. A new diesel engine can be given in the new-generation Fortuner with a mild hybrid system. Which could be the new 1GD-FTV 2.8L diesel engine.

Toyota is also preparing a new coupe SUV, codenamed A15, based on Maruti Suzuki’s Fronx crossover SUV. However, it could include design elements similar to the company’s Yaris Cross. It will get two engine options, which include a 1.0L 3-cylinder Boosterjet turbo petrol engine and a 1.2L Dualjet 4-cylinder petrol engine capable of producing 89bhp and 100bhp respectively. Both the engines will be equipped with mild hybrid technology.
