auto news desk, If there are more than five people in the family then generally one would think of buying a 7 seater car. But, people have a misconception that 7 seater cars are expensive. In fact it is so and it is not so. Apart from being a 7-seater or a 5-seater, the price of cars also depends on many other factors like features and specifications etc. Now take the example of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Maruti Suzuki Brezza, there is not much difference in the starting price of both. Ertiga price starts at Rs. 8.35 lakh and goes up to Rs. 12.79 lakh (ex-showroom). Whereas, the price of Brezza starts from Rs. 8.29 lakh and goes up to Rs. 14.04 lakh (ex-showroom). While Ertiga is a 7-seater car and Brezza is a 5-seater.
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is the best selling car in its segment (MPV). It has sold 9,028 units in the month of March and once again it remains the best selling MPV. It gets the same 1.5-litre dualjet petrol engine that powers the Brezza. It produces 103 PS of power and 136.8 Nm of torque. There is an option for a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. This engine with CNG makes 88 PS of power and 121.5 Nm of torque. That is, the power output gets reduced on CNG as compared to petrol, which is the case with any CNG car. The CNG version only gets a 5-speed manual gearbox. The Ertiga mileage on CNG is 26.11 kmpl (CNG).
