Maruti explodes the inflation bomb! Prices of six cars from Swift to WagonR increased, see new rate list

auto news desk, Maruti Suzuki has burst the bomb of inflation on the customers. The company has increased the prices of its 6 models. These 6 cars include popular hatchbacks like Swift, Celerio and WagonR as well as other models like Dzire, Ciaz and XL6. The company has increased the prices of these cars by up to Rs 15,000 from this month itself. The new prices came into effect from April. After the price hike, it became expensive to buy these six models. Here we are talking about the new price list.

This car has become the most expensive

The maximum price hike has been for the company’s XL6 MPV. The new XL6, launched last year, has now become costlier by Rs 15,000. After the price hike, the starting price of the XL6 has increased to Rs 11.41 lakh (ex-showroom). WagonR, one of the best selling models of Maruti in India saw the least increase in prices. The price of this hatchback has been increased by Rs 1,500. Now the price of its base variant will increase to ₹ 5.54 lakh (ex-showroom) and the top variant will cost ₹ 7.40 lakh (ex-showroom).

Maruti Celerio and Swift Price
The prices of Maruti Suzuki Celerio have also increased by a similar amount. There has been a price hike of ₹1,500, taking the price of the base Celerio hatchback LXi variant to ₹5.36 lakh (ex-showroom) and the top-end variant to ₹7.14 lakh (ex-showroom). Similarly, Maruti has increased the price of Swift by up to Rs 5,000. It is one of the best selling models of the company. Swift is now priced between Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom) to Rs 8.97 lakh (ex-showroom).

Maruti Ciaz Price
The Maruti Ciaz competes with the likes of Honda City, Hyundai Verna among others in the compact sedan segment. Its price saw an increase of ₹11,000. Similarly, India’s best-selling sedan Maruti Dzire saw a price hike of up to Rs 7,500. Prices for this subcompact sedan start at Rs 6.51 lakh (ex-showroom).
