auto news desk, Vehicle manufacturer Jeep India has launched two new special editions of its three-row Meridian SUV – Meridian X and Meridian Upland. The ex-showroom price of its base variant has been kept at Rs 33.41 lakh and the ex-showroom price of the top-end model has been kept at Rs 38.47 lakh. While the ex-showroom price of its regular model starts from Rs. 32.95 lakhs. The company says that this limited edition is a reimagining of the company’s legendary 4WD capability with new styling and equipment. It is specially designed for people who drive in different terrains.

On the exterior design front, the new Jeep Meridian X and Meridian Upland also get an urban style theme with lower body colour, alloy wheels with gray inserts and gray roof and side mouldings. Both the variants are available in Silver Moon and Galaxy Blue color options.

The new Jeep Meridian X and Meridian Upland Edition will be powered by the same 2.0-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine as the regular model, which can generate 168 hp power and 350 Nm torque. This engine was mated to a 6-speed manual and a 9-speed automatic gearbox. The top-of-the-line trim gets a 4X4 drivetrain. This SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 10.8 seconds, while it has a top speed of 198 km/h.
