6 new SUVs to be launched in India soon, see full list

Car News Desk – The last decade has also seen a boom in SUV sales in India. Maruti, Tata, Mahindra, Toyota, Honda, Volkswagen, Renault and Nissan are going to launch many new models in this segment in the next few years. There are 6 new launches in the premium 7-seater SUV space. Let’s see the complete list of these cars.

Nissan X-Trail
The Nissan X-Trail SUV will come with the e-Power hybrid system in India. In the global market, this SUV is equipped with a 1.5 liter turbo petrol engine with a mild and strong hybrid powertrain. X-Trail comes with 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 10.8-inch HUD, 360-degree camera, electronic parking brake, ADAS technology and many more.

The Nissan X-Trail will rival the Fortuner in India;  Qashqai and Juke may come in the future

New-Generation Renault Duster
The new-generation Renault Duster will come to India in 2024. It will be built on Renault-Nissan’s CMF-B modular platform. In dimensions, this new Duster will be bigger than its old version. It will get a 7-seat configuration. According to reports, the SUV may get a 1.3L hybrid powertrain. Also, a new 1.0L turbo petrol engine can also be found in it.

Toyota Corolla Cross
Toyota is about to bring a new SUV in the 7-seater SUV segment with a new model based on its Corolla Cross. It will be designed on the global spec TNGA-C platform, which is also used for the Innova Highcross. It is expected to share powertrains with the new Innova Highcross, including a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol and a self-charging strong hybrid system with the 2.0-litre petrol.

Volkswagen Teron
According to media reports, Volkswagen India is planning to bring the all-new Teron SUV in 2025. The 7-seater SUV will be imported as a CKD kit and will be assembled in India. It will be designed on the MQB-A2 platform which is used in the new Kodiaq. The length of its China-spec model is around 4.6 meters.

Maruti 7-Seater SUV
Maruti is preparing to bring its first product in the premium 7-seater SUV segment. According to media reports, Maruti Suzuki will introduce a three-row SUV based on the Grand Vitara. The new Maruti 7-seater SUV will come with longer and more space. Built on Suzuki’s Global C platform, the model is expected to come with 1.5L K15C Petrol Mild Hybrid and 1.5L Atkinson Cycle Strong Hybrid powertrains. This new 7-seater SUV will be produced at the company’s new Kharkhoda plant.

Honda 7-Seater SUV
Honda Motors is about to introduce two new models in the subcompact, mid-size and premium 7-seater SUV segments. While the Honda Elevate midsize SUV will be launched by July or August 2023. The new 7-seater SUV can be seen under the same global-spec platform as the BR-V. It will be a three-row version of the Elevate.
