Big change in Range Rover line-up, soon to be equipped with hybrid system

Car News Desk – Vehicle manufacturer Land Rover will soon introduce a major powertrain upgrade across its entire Range Rover luxury SUV line-up. The company will equip all of its Range Rover SUV products with hybrid powertrains, including a plug-in hybrid and a new V8 trim. The ex-showroom price of these cars currently ranges from Rs 2.39 crore to Rs 4.17 crore.

The Range Rover will get a new P440e which will increase the total output from 440hp to 460hp with 218hp power output. This plug-in hybrid trim is called the P460e. Similarly, the P510e powertrain generates 510hp power, which after being upgraded for 50hp is known as P550e. The Range Rover P550e can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 5.0 seconds. According to Land Rover, it also boosts the official electric-only range to 121km. New powertrain The long-wheelbase Range Rover SUV is being equipped with a PHEV powertrain for the first time.

The new Range Rover P615-badged 4.4-litre V8 engine with twin turbochargers and mild-hybrid system generates 615hp power. Which means its emissions and fuel efficiency are almost identical to the 4.4-liter V8. Even in the small SUV, that smaller version, badged P530, has been given the mild-hybrid treatment, increasing its fuel efficiency.

Range Rover has also introduced the SV Bespoke programme. Along with this the buyers get the option to choose from a palette of 391 interior colours. In addition, the program also gives buyers the option of a 24-karat gold trim finish.

With the update, the Range Rover is now available in India in HSE, Autobiography and SV trims with a choice of petrol, diesel and hybrid powertrains. Land Rover also sells the Range Rover Sport, Range Rover Velar and Range Rover Evoque under the Range Rover brand name in India.
