However, Citroen is also looking to make a strong inroads in this segment. According to auto website Autocar India, Citroën’s Global CEO Thierry Koskus said that converting petrol-diesel cars to electric is the best way to make an electric car.
C3 Aircross EV will arrive in 2024
Thierry said the process is not only fast but also cost-effective. He said that all over the world the existing petrol-diesel cars are being converted into electric cars. On the other hand, the company is also working on a dedicated electric platform or skateboard. An electric version of the C3 Aircross is also coming in the pipeline and is expected to arrive in early 2024.
Electric car launched in just 6 months
How fast Citroën is in terms of electric cars can be gauged from the electric version of the C3. The French auto company also introduced the electric version of the C3 hatchback within six months of its launch. This is the company’s first car in the Indian market. In such a situation, it is expected that the electric version of the C3 Aircross SUV will also be launched in early 2024.

Talking about the specifications of the Citroën C3 Aircross, it will get the power of a 1.2L liquid cool turbocharged petrol engine. A 6-speed manual gearbox has been given for power transmission. At the same time, features like 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, roof mounted AC vents will also be available.
