Citroen C3X crossover sedan will come next year, will compete with Honda City

auto news desk, French manufacturer Citroen is all set to launch a new crossover sedan car in the Indian market next year. The C3X will be the third product to be built on the company’s India-specific CMP modular platform after the C3 hatchback and the upcoming C3 Aircross SUV.

How will the new sedan be?
With the brand new design of the Citroen C3X, it will be different from other cars of the company. As per sources, the C3X will come with fastback styling and SUV-like high ground clearance, which is brand new in the sedan segment.

The front-end styling of the C3X sedan coming to India will be similar to the C3 Aircross, but will feature a heavily tapered roofline. Which leads to a notchback-style tailgate. The C3X will get a lot of SUV-like elements such as C3 Aircross-like ground clearance, bigger alloy wheels and rugged plastic cladding all around. The C3X could measure around 4.3-4.4 meters in length and have the same wheelbase as the C3 Aircross SUV.

The company is likely to launch the ICE version of the C3 Aircross by July-August this year and the electric version in February 2024. Hence, the C3X is expected to arrive around July 2024 and the electric version of the crossover sedan is likely to arrive. six months later.

The new sedan will take on the Honda City sedan, which will get the option of a hybrid powertrain along with a 1.5-litre petrol engine.
