Citroën launches C3 hatchback in Nepal

auto news desk, Citroën India has started exporting its C3 hatchback model to Nepal. The car is built on the CMP platform from the manufacturer and is priced at NPR 36.25 lakh (₹ 22.61 lakh). The price of Citroën C3 is quite high in Nepal due to high import taxes. The C3 range price in India starts from Rs. 6.16 lakh (ex-showroom). The Citroën C3 hatchback introduced in Nepal is powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, which produces 82 bhp power and 115 Nm torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine variant is not available for the Nepalese market.

Talking about the features, the Nepali-Citroen C3 is similar to its Indian model. It gets a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, power windows, manual HVAC unit, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and more. The Citroën C3 is offered in two variants, which include the Live and Feel Vibe packs. Whose price is 36.25 lakh NPR (₹ 22.61 Lakh) and 37.99 lakh Nepali NPR (₹ 23.69 Lakh) respectively.

The Nepalese market does not get the recently introduced Shine variant in India, which is currently the costliest variant of the hatchback in India and comes with a few extra features. These include alloy wheels, reverse parking camera and electronically adjustable ORVMs. With its entry into the Nepalese market, Citroën aims to establish a presence in the neighboring SAARC countries by increasing the demand for its compact hatchback offering.
