How much is the waiting period of Maruti Jimny, when will it be launched, know the complete details

auto news desk, Maruti Suzuki’s off-road SUV Jimny 5-Door will be available for sale in India in the first week of next month. The company has so far received more than 24,500 bookings for this Nexa product. The automatic variant is in high demand and has a waiting period of up to 8 months, while the waiting period for the manual variant is less than 6 months. Shades of Kinetic Yellow, Bluish Black and Pearl Arctic White are being highly liked by the customers.

Will there be so much production?
Maruti Suzuki will produce the new Maruti Jimny for both domestic and export markets at its Gurgaon plant with a production capacity of around 1 lakh units per annum, including around 7,000 units per month for the domestic market. The fully loaded Alpha trim will be produced more as the demand for it is higher.

Features like 9-inch touchscreen Smartplay Pro+ infotainment system, Arkamys music system, cruise control, climate control, keyless start, LED headlamps, fog lamps, auto headlamps, alloy wheels and body colored door handles have been given in this car. The Maruti Jimny gets the K15B 1.5L petrol engine with mild hybrid technology. This engine generates power of 105bhp and torque of 134Nm. It gets the option of 5-speed manual and 4-speed torque converter automatic. The SUV gets the AllGrip Pro 4WD system. It has three modes 2H, 4H and 4L available. Also, it gets a manual transfer case and a low-range gearbox.

who will compete
The upcoming Jimny 5-door will compete with the upcoming Mahindra Thar 5-door early next year. With the current Thar’s powertrain, it is likely to get more space and more features.
