auto news desk,Hyundai India has recently included the latest SUV Xter in its line-up, which will be launched in the market sometime. However, the company sells another sub 4 meter SUV called the Venue. It is one of the most popular products of the company. What is the difference between these two cars, we are going to talk about the same here.
The Venue measures 3995 mm in length and will sit below it in the Xeter lineup. Venue is a sub-compact SUV while Xeter is a micro SUV or mini SUV. Both are quite different in terms of style. The new Venue gets a bigger grille and connected tail-lamps and looks more premium. The Exter will come in a fresh and funky look with its parametric design highlights. It gets a dual grille with slim headlamps while it has a smaller silhouette with roof rails but still sports an SUV-like design and skid plates. Exeter will be in Funky Colours. The Venue rightly looks bigger and more premium while the Exeter is more youthful.
The Hyundai Xtor Grand i10 is based on the same platform as the Nios and features higher quality interiors. Though Venue offers more facilities while Exeter is no less. Features like touchscreen, connected car technology are very common. The Venue is expected to get features like electric seat adjustments, sunroof, air purifier etc. while the Exeter is expected to get features like connected car tech and wireless charging.
Another major difference is that the Xtor will get a manual or AMT gearbox option along with the 1.2L petrol engine along with the factory fitted CNG option. On the other hand, the Venue also gets a 1.2-litre petrol along with turbo petrol and diesel engine options. The turbo petrol engine is available with iMT and DCT options while the diesel engine is available with a manual transmission.
The Xeter looks funky with more compact styling as well as being smaller and more pocket friendly and is a smaller SUV for urban use, while the Venue is available with a bigger engine line-up and more features. Which means Exeter will fill the slot below Venue in the lineup. In terms of pricing, the Exeter will compete with affordable SUVs like the Tata Punch.
