The sales of Franks shows that this car can give the company a big success in the SUV segment in the coming days. With this figure, the sales of the Fronix have become almost at par with the Mahindra Scorpio-N, which sold 9,617 units last month. The Franchise has even left behind the Kia Seltos in terms of sales.
Maruti Franks has been launched by the company at an initial price of Rs 7.46 Lakh. While its price goes up to Rs 13.14 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top variant. Franks has been made available in a total of four variants – Sigma, Delta, Delta +, Zeta and Alpha. The company is offering it in three dual tone colors and seven monotone colors. It is a 5 seater car with boot space of 308 liters.
It comes with two engine options including a 1-litre turbo-petrol engine with mild-hybrid technology (100PS/148Nm) and the Baleno’s 1.2-litre Dualjet petrol unit (90PS/113Nm). The first engine has the option of 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox, while the second engine has the option of 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox. Talking about the features, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx has wireless Android Features like 9-inch infotainment system with Auto and Apple CarPlay, head-up display, cruise control, auto climate control and wireless phone charging.
For safety, it gets features like six airbags, electronic stability program (ESP), hill-hold assist, a 360-degree camera, ISOFIX anchors and ABS with EBD. The Fronx doesn’t have any direct rivals but takes on the likes of the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Renault Kiger and the Nissan Magnite.
