
auto news desk, MG ZS EV has crossed the 10,000 car sales mark in India. The SUV launched in 2020 was MG Motor India’s first electric offering in the country. The electric SUV has been instrumental in establishing MG as the second best-selling EV manufacturer in India after Tata Motors. The electric SUV was last facelifted in 2022, which gave it some cosmetic changes, including This included the inclusion of a connected grille across its face instead of the deep layout featured on the previous model.
The facelifted car also includes new features like a new 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which replaces the older 8-inch unit. The car also comes with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity as standard features. Other features that the vehicle comes with include a panoramic sunroof, a powered driver’s seat, automatic headlamps with wipers, connected car technology, six airbags, hill start/descent control and electronic stability control.
The MG ZS EV is powered by a 50.3 kWh battery pack, which produces 174 bhp power. The claimed range of the earlier model was 419 km which has been increased to 461 km in the new model. The current variant of the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 8.5 seconds. This car is currently available in India in two variants – Excite and Exclusive. ZS EV prices start at Rs 21.99 lakh for the Excite variant and go up to Rs 25.88 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Exclusive variant.
