Skoda’s compact SUV will come next year, will compete with Maruti Brezza

Both these cars have received a 5 star safety rating from Global NCAP. Along with this, the company is preparing to launch several new cars including new-gen Superb sedan, Octavia facelift and new small SUV with the aim of strengthening its hold in the Indian market.

Compact SUV will come
Skoda is preparing a new compact SUV, which could be launched in the second half of 2024. It is being called the codename SK216. The new Skoda SK216 compact SUV could be built on the modified MQB AO IN platform, which is used for cars like the Kushaq and the Slavia. The platform has been designed for vehicles above 4 meters in length, with some changes likely to be made for the compact SUV.

The new Skoda compact SUV can get a 1.0-liter 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, which can generate 114bhp power and 178Nm torque. It will get the option of both manual and torque converter automatic gearboxes.

This new compact SUV will compete with cars like Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet. The Maruti Suzuki Brezza gets a 1.5L petrol engine. Along with this, a lot of new and modern features are also available with the best design.

These cars will also be launched
Skoda is also looking at bringing the Enyaq Coupe and Elroq EV for the Indian market before going all out with its locally produced EV models for the Indian market. These new cars will take 1-2 years to hit the market. The company is also preparing to launch the new Enyaq Electric and new-gen Superb sedans in the country as CBU variants before the end of this year. Apart from this, preparations are on to bring the new Skoda Octavia RS to the Indian market.
