
auto news desk, Tata Motors on Monday launched the CNG variant of its premium hatchback Altroz. Its showroom price will start from Rs 7.55 lakh. The Altroz ICNG will be available in six variants priced between Rs 7.55 lakh and Rs 10.55 lakh (ex-showroom), Tata Motors said in a statement. Shailesh Chandra, managing director, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd, said the customer is looking for a cost-effective and are looking for an eco-friendly travel experience and are opting for this alternative fuel due to the wide availability of CNG. Tata Motors launched the CNG version of Tiago and Tigor in January last year.

The Altroz ICNG starts straight away in CNG mode. Additional safety features of the Altroz iCNG include thermal incident protection, gas leak detection feature and micro switch to ensure that the car is switched off while refueling. The Altroz iCNG also gets features like leatherette seats, iRA connected car technology, cruise control and automatic headlamps. The Altroz iCNG will be available in four variants – XE, XM+, XZ and XZ+ in four color options – Opera Blue, Downtown Red, Arcade Gray and Avenue White.
