Auto Newsdesk, Tata Punch EV has recently been spotted for the first time. Seeing this EV seen during testing, it is known that some new features have been given in this car as compared to its ICE version. Let’s know the complete information about Tata Punch EV.
Tata Punch EV Design
The Tata Punch EV model spotted on test looks like the petrol powered Punch from the outside. However, it has got a new feature like rear disc brake, which can soon be given in its ICE model. Although no charging port has been seen in it, it is expected that like other Tata electric vehicles, it will also get a charging port in the fuel lid. The Tata Punch is based on the ALFA platform, which does not require much upgrading to switch from an ICE set-up to an electric layout.
Tata Punch EV Interior
There is only one picture of the interior available at the moment, but it suggests that the Punch EV will get the Nexon EV Max-like electronic parking brake and drive selector. Also, it will get a 7-inch touchscreen like the ICE version. While the company will continue with its Nexon EV Max Dark Edition, Tata may introduce the new 10.25-inch touchscreen at a later stage.
Tata’s Ziptron powertrain will be used in it, which gets a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a liquid-cooled battery. Front wheel drive system is available in it. It could get the same powertrain as the Tata Tigor EV, but the battery size could be different.
