Tata Punch EV Design

The Tata Punch EV model spotted on test looks like the petrol powered Punch from the outside. However, it has got a new feature like rear disc brake, which can soon be given in its ICE model. Although no charging port has been seen in it, it is expected that like other Tata electric vehicles, it will also get a charging port in the fuel lid. The Tata Punch is based on the ALFA platform, which does not require much upgrading to switch from an ICE set-up to an electric layout.

Tata Punch EV Interior

There is only one picture of the interior available at the moment, but it suggests that the Punch EV will get the Nexon EV Max-like electronic parking brake and drive selector. Also, it will get a 7-inch touchscreen like the ICE version. While the company will continue with its Nexon EV Max Dark Edition, Tata may introduce the new 10.25-inch touchscreen at a later stage.

powertrain

Tata’s Ziptron powertrain will be used in it, which gets a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a liquid-cooled battery. Front wheel drive system is available in it. It could get the same powertrain as the Tata Tigor EV, but the battery size could be different.

when will launch

Production of the Tata Punch EV is expected to begin by June this year and could be launched around October after the festive season. The Punch EV is expected to be priced between Rs 9.5 lakh to Rs 10.5 lakh.

Will compete with the Citroen E C3

This car can compete with Citroën E C3, which gives a range of up to 320 km. Its ex-showroom price starts from Rs 11.50 lakh
