Under this, the company is preparing an electric version of Tiguan SUV, Trinity EV and a small EV. The Volkswagen Tiguan EV will be the first electric model to arrive in 2025, followed by the small electric SUV in 2026 and the Trinity electric SUV in 2028. Volkswagen Tiguan EV
Compared to the Volkswagen ID4 and ID5, the company’s Tiguan will see more classical design elements. The electric SUV is likely to be offered with both four-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive options. It will be designed on the company’s new MEB+ platform.
Volkswagen Small EV
Volkswagen is working on an entry-level electric SUV that will be sold alongside the Volkswagen T-Cross in the global market. The name of this model could be Volkswagen ID 2X. It may share design bits with the company’s smaller EV, the Derek Reilly Kupra’s Urban Rebel concept. It will be the most affordable model in the company’s ID SUV family.
Volkswagen Trinity EV SUV
The Trinity EV SUV will be a premium crossover that will be produced at Volkswagen’s Braunschweig R&D center in Germany. The new electric compact SUV will sit between the Tiguan and the Touareg in the company’s global model lineup. This car can be landed with rear wheel drive or dual motor drivetrain. The new Trinity EV SUV will be designed on Volkswagen’s Scalable Systems platform. It will be Volkswagen’s most advanced and expensive electric SUV.
