auto news desk, Only a few days are left for the launch of Maruti’s off-road car Maruti Suzuki Jimny. More than the price of this SUV, the discussion is going on about its safety rating. The 5-door Jimny was first showcased at the Auto Expo. Whose sturdy synthetic texture impressed us a lot.
What will be the safety rating?
Talking about the safety rating, the 3-door Jimny has been given a 3-star safety rating in Europe. In 2018, the 3-door Jimny scored 73% in adult occupant protection and 84% in child occupant protection. For this the crash test of the model was done. It was a 3-door variant. However, the safety rating of its 5-door variant is yet to come. For example, the Brezza has received a 4-star safety rating in the GNCAP safety rating. Which is much stronger than the 3-door Jimny Europe NCAP.
Talking about its safety features, the 5-door Maruti Suzuki Jimny will get 6 airbags, limited slip differential (LSD) brakes, ESP with hill hold assist, hill descent control, rear view camera and ABS with EBD. Also, it will come with All Grip technology which puts it in the league of proper 4X4 SUVs. 4WD also gives you the option to shift to 2WD. Along with this, 4L drive mode is also present in it.
This SUV will come with K-Series 1.5l engine with start stop feature, which will get both manual and automatic options. Its manual option will come with a 5-speed manual gearbox while the automatic variant will come with a 4-speed torque converter. The company will reveal its price next month. We will drive this car soon.
