car news desk, French car manufacturer Citroën has launched its first electric car Citroën eC3 in the Indian market. It was introduced last year and now its prices have been announced. The company has kept the starting price of the Citroen eC3 EV at Rs 11.50 lakh (ex-showroom). This EV has been brought in a total of four variants – Live, Feel, Feel Vibe Pack and Feel Dual Tone Vibe Pack. Its top variant costs ₹ 12.43 lakh (ex-showroom). The company can start its delivery in the next few days. It is the electric avatar of the company’s cheapest car, the Citroen C3.

The direct competition of the Citroen eC3 will be from the Tata Tigor EV, Tata’s cheapest electric car. However, the price of Tata Tioga EV starts at Rs. 8.69 lakhs. The Citroen eC3 electric car is powered by a 29.2 kWh battery pack that is claimed to offer a range of 320 km on a single charge.

The electric motor can generate 57 PS of peak power and 143 Nm of peak torque. It has a top speed of 107 kmph and can do 0-60 kmph in 6.8 seconds. It also has support for DC fast charging, which can charge 10-80 percent in 57 minutes. While it will take 10.5 hours to charge the battery pack from 10 to 100 percent via 15A power socket.
