But, in January 2023, the Scorpio (Scorpio Classic and Scorpio-N together) overtook the Bolero to become the company’s best-selling SUV. Due to this, Bolero slipped to the second number. A total of 8,715 units of Mahindra Scorpio were sold in January 2023. Scorpio sales have grown by 188 per cent year-on-year. In January 2022, its 3,026 units were sold.
It is worth mentioning that the Mahindra Scorpio-N comes in a total of 30 variants, with prices ranging from Rs 12.74 lakh to Rs 24.05 lakh ex-showroom. It comes with two engine options – 2.2 diesel (132bhp/175bhp) and 2.0L petrol engine (203bhp). Whereas, Mahindra Scorpio Classic comes in two variants – S and S11. Their price is Rs 12.64 lakh and Rs 16.14 lakh respectively. It gets a 2.2L turbo diesel engine (generates 132bhp and 300Nm).

Mahindra Bolero has been the second best selling SUV of the company in January 2023. However, on an annual basis, its sales have also seen a huge increase. Last year the company sold 3,506 units of it in January (2022), while in January this year (2023) it sold 8,574 units. Its sales have increased by 145 percent on an annual basis. The SUV model lineup comes in three variants – B4, B6 and B6 (O). Their price is Rs 9.53 lakh, Rs 10 lakh and Rs 10.48 lakh respectively.
After these two, the company’s third best selling SUV has been the XUV700. A total of 5,787 units have been sold in January 2023 while 4,119 units have been sold in January 2022. It is available in 22 variants in two trims – MX and AX. Its price ranges between Rs 13.45 lakh to Rs 25.48 lakh. It gets 2.0L petrol (200bhp) and 2.2L diesel engine (155bhp/185bhp) options.
