Wait a while for Tata Punch EV, Harrier and Safari Electric will also be launched

car news desk, Tata Motors is currently ruling the electric vehicle segment with over 80 percent market share. Tata recently launched the Tiago EV, which has received an overwhelming response from buyers with over 20,000 bookings in less than 1 month. The company will launch many new electric cars in different segments.

Tata Punch EV
Tata Motors is preparing an electric version of the Punch micro SUV, which is expected to be launched before the end of 2023. The Punches EV will reportedly enter production by June 2023, while the launch could happen during the festive season. It will be based on the latest version of the ALFA architecture. Said to be a Gen 2 architecture, the platform will come equipped with a bigger battery pack.

Tata Harrier and Safari EV
Tata Motors showcased the Harrier EV concept at the 2023 Auto Expo. Tata Motors has already confirmed that the production version of the Harrier EV will be launched in the country in 2024. Like the Harrier, the Safari will also get an electric version in 2024-25. The Harrier EV concept is designed on the Land Rover-derived Omega ARC platform, which is mated to Tata’s Gen 2 EV architecture. Tata engineers have removed the fuel tank area and transmission tunnel to create a flat floor on the inside.

Tata has confirmed that the SUV will come with a dual-motor all-wheel drive set-up. The SUV could be offered in a front-wheel-drive layout. We expect the new model to have a battery-pack of around 60kwh to 80kWh and could offer a real range of around 400-500km. The new models will come with vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) charging capabilities.

Tata Curve
Tata Motors unveiled the Curvv EV concept in April 2022. It has been confirmed that the production version of the SUV coupe will arrive in 2024. In fact, the new SUV coupe will be offered with ICE and electric powertrains. It will compete with Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, MG Astor, VW Taigun and Skoda Kushaq. It is based on the GEN 2 platform, which heavily modifies Tata’s ALFA platform. It is likely to get a bigger battery pack with a claimed range of over 400ms. The EV will challenge the MG ZS EV, Hyundai Kona EV and Mahindra XUV400.
