Mahindra is looking to offer multiple powertrain configurations with the Thar 5-Door right from launch. The Thar 3 door will be powered by 2.2-litre diesel and 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engines, both of which will be offered with manual and automatic gearboxes. It can be offered with both petrol and diesel engines. Upcoming Mahindra Thar 5 Door can see 2.0 liter mStallion turbo petrol and 2.2 liter mHawk turbo diesel engine, which generates 152 bhp power as well as 320 newton meter pickup torque.
The Mahindra Thar 5 door is likely to come with a longer wheelbase as well as a lighter steering wheel and better suspension setup. Talking about the color option in the 5-door variant of the upcoming Thar, it is likely to come in 6 color options. Apart from this, talking about the features, wireless smartphone connectivity support will be available in this car.
