2023 Maruti Suzuki revamps Ignis with new safety features, hikes prices

auto news desk, The second phase of BS6 emission norms will come into effect from April 1, 2023. Keeping this in mind all the manufacturers are modifying their vehicles accordingly and Maruti Suzuki recently launched the 2023 version of the Ignis making it in line with the E20 and RDE. Apart from this, the company has introduced new safety features like Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Hill-Hold Assist in 2023 Ignis.

The Ignis continues to offer the 7-inch infotainment touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, steering mounted controls, start/stop ignition button, automatic climate control, auto ORVMs and tilt steering. The 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine in the Maruti Suzuki Ignis gets, which produces 82bhp power and 113Nm peak torque. The motor is mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox.

All four variants of the 2023 Ignis have also received an increase of Rs 27,000 over the previous model. The manual model of the Ignis now starts from ₹ 5.82 lakh and goes up to ₹ 7.59 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), while the price of the AMT variant starts from ₹ 6.91 lakh and goes up to ₹ 8.14 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) The Ignis is available in six colours, including two new colours, Turquoise Blue, Lucent Orange, Nexa Blue, Glistening Grey, Silky Silver and Pearl Arctic White. It is also available in three dual-tone colors including Nexa Blue with Black Roof, Nexa Blue with Silver Roof and Lucent Orange with Black Roof.
