The driver display of the new Verna has also been revealed from the teaser video. Hyundai launched the Verna for the first time in the year 2006 in India. Since then this car has been giving tough competition to the Honda City. Even at present it is one of the most popular sedan car in India. It is believed that the 5 changes in the new Verna will make the car more attractive, which is expected to increase its demand. Here we are telling about 5 changes found in Verna.
1. Many changes have been made to the face of the new Hyundai Verna. It now comes with a redesigned grille and a sharper and sportier face. The grille wrapped in a parametric pattern will be highlighted by an LED lightbar spanning the width of the bonnet. Apart from the LED headlight unit, it will also get a redesigned bumper and new foglamp casings.
2. The new Verna will now come with newly designed alloy wheels. The driver display looks like all new generation Hyundai and Kia models. It is expected that the Hyundai Verna will get modern features like ADAS. Adding this feature to the Verna will give tough competition to the Honda City.
3. Hyundai also promises an updated cabin with phone holder, multiple bottle holders, multi-purpose console, cooled glove box and wide opening trunk. The interiors will feature a dual-tone black and beige color scheme. Inside, the car will now offer more space than ever before, with a lounge-like cabin with best-in-class boot space.
4. The wheelbase of the new Verna has increased by 70mm to 2,670mm. It is now the widest car in its segment at 1,765 mm, an increase of 36 mm. Hyundai is also going to offer the largest boot space in the segment with a luggage capacity of 528 litres.
5. Hyundai will be offered with a petrol engine only. It will get a turbocharged engine apart from the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. The engine will come with either a manual, CVT or DCT transmission unit. When launched, the new Hyundai Verna will take on the likes of Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Volkswagen Virtus and Skoda Slavia in the compact sedan segment.
