
car news desk, BMW has launched a new variant of the X3 – the X Line, priced at Rs 67.5 lakh (ex-showroom). The X3 xLine has been replaced by the luxury edition X3. It will be sold without a petrol powertrain option. It is powered by a 2-litre, 4-cylinder, turbo-diesel engine, which generates 190bhp power and 400Nm torque. This powertrain is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, which sends power to all the four wheels. BMW claims that it can achieve 0-100 kmph in 7.9 seconds. Its top speed is 213 kmph.
The BMW X3 xLine gets the brand’s adaptive LED headlight set-up. Styling is largely the same as before. The kidney grill has been continued. At the rear, there are taillights that extend from the D-pillar to the boot. It gets aluminum-finish roof rails. The X3 xLine gets 19-inch alloy wheels.
In terms of features, the BMW X3 gets a panoramic glass roof, 12.3-inch infotainment unit with BMW iDrive system and a Harman-Kardon sound system. Let us tell you that BMW also launched the 20d M Sport variant this month, which costs Rs 69.90 lakh (ex-showroom). It also has features like 3D view surround camera, gesture controls and head-up display. The BMW X3 competes with SUVs like Land Rover Discovery Sport, Audi Q5 and Volvo XC60. The Q5 is available with a petrol powertrain, the Volvo XC60 comes with a hybrid system and the Land Rover Discovery comes with a diesel option.
