Hyundai of South Korea is going to upgrade its electric SUV Hyundai KONA in India. Even before the launch of the new Hyundai Kona EV, the company has revealed its battery specifications and features.
2023 Hyundai Kona Electric
Hyundai has shown the pictures of Kona EV 2023 some time back. The new Kona Electric will come with an all-new design with a drag coefficient of 0.27. Exterior design elements include split LED tail lights with connected LED light bar, split LED headlights and connected LED rear light bar.
Interior & Features
On the inside, the electric SUV will get a new dashboard layout. It has a 12.3-inch connected screen. It also gets connected AC vents and physical buttons for multimedia and climate controls. Other features include head-up display, adaptive regenerative braking, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and vehicle-to-load (V2L) charging.
powertrain details
2 battery pack options can be given in 2023 Hyundai Kona Electric. The first is Simple Range with 48.4kWh battery and Long Range with 65.4kWh battery. The long range model will come with 217PS of power and 255Nm of torque. It will give a range of up to 490 km on a single charge.
launch date and price
The current Kona Electric costs around Rs 24 lakh. There could be a slight increase in the price in the new avatar. We expect Hyundai to bring the new Kona Electric in early 2024. This year, Hyundai launched the Ioniq 5 electric crossover at the 2023 Auto Expo priced at Rs 44.95 lakh.
