Land Rover Defender 130 launched in India, prices start from ₹ 1.30 crore


auto news desk, Land Rover has launched the new Defender 130 in India which complements the lineup that already includes the Defender 90 and 110. It looks sizable with 5358 mm in front to rear spare wheel. The SUV will be the longest Defender on sale in India and will feature a three-row layout and a maximum seating capacity of 8 people.

The exterior styling of the car is in line with the other variants except for the fact that the rear overhang of the vehicle is noticeably longer. We think the exterior of the Defender is more attractive than the others in its longer avatar, however, that is a personal matter. The cabin of the car also gets minimal changes which is not a bad thing. The middle and rear rows of the car have been raised slightly to give better front visibility to the passengers.

The SUV gets an 11.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a fully digital instrument cluster with new Pivi-Pro software as you get on the Defender 90 and 110 models. The car also gets an additional glass sunroof at the rear to ensure that the rear row passengers get extra illumination as well. Among other features, the car also gets seat ventilation for all three rows as well as four-zone climate control. The SUV is available in two engine options, a 6-cylinder 3.0-litre petrol (P400) making 389 bhp and 550 Nm. Nm of torque and a 6-cylinder 3.0-litre diesel (D300) that produces around 292 bhp and 600 Nm. torque. Is. The car also comes with air suspension as standard.
