
auto news desk, Due to the RDE rules being implemented in India from April 1, car manufacturers have to upgrade their models. In this sequence, the popular car maker company Mahindra has updated its sub compact SUV XUV300. In the new avatar, the engine of this SUV is now BS6 Phase 2 and RDE norms compliant. Along with this, Mahindra has also increased the price of this sub-four meter SUV. Prices for the new XUV300 start at Rs. 8.41 lakh (ex-showroom). It is also available for booking.
Petrol and Diesel Engines
The company offers its XUV300 in two powertrain options 1.2-litre petrol engine and 1.5-litre diesel engine. The first engine produces 109bhp and 200Nm of torque, while the second engine churns out 115bhp and 300Nm of torque. Gearbox options include 6-speed manual and AMT units. These engines have been updated to meet the new BS6 Phase 2 and RDE norms, which are going to come into force from April 1, 2023.
increased price
Along with the engine update, the company has also increased the prices of the XUV300. The W4 and W6 variants with its petrol engine and manual gearbox are priced the same as before. Their prices are Rs. 8.41 lakh and Rs. 9.99 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom) respectively. While the W6 petrol variant with AMT gearbox is now priced at Rs 10.71 lakh, an increase of Rs 20,000. Every other petrol engined variant gets a price hike of Rs 15,000. In addition, the W4, W6, and W8 variants with diesel engines are now Rs. 20,000 costlier, while the W8 (O) trims have seen a price hike of Rs. 22,000.
