In this sequence, Maruti Suzuki has recently launched the 2023 version RDE compliant Ignis. Maruti Suzuki has also introduced new safety features like Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Hill-Hold Assist in the 2023 Ignis. Apart from these, the hatchback is also equipped with twin airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS) and ISOFIX child seat mounts. These features will be standard in the 2023 Ignis.
The new Maruti Ignis continues to offer the 7-inch infotainment touchscreen (with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support), steering mounted controls, start/stop ignition button, automatic climate control, auto ORVMs and tilt steering features. This hatchback will be available in four variants – Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. Maruti Suzuki has updated its 1.2-litre NA petrol engine, which generates 82bhp power and 113Nm torque. This engine comes with 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox options.
Due to the update, the 2023 Ignis has become more expensive by Rs 27,000 compared to its previous model. The price of its manual variants starts from Rs. 5.82 lakh to Rs. 7.59 lakh while the price of AMT starts from Rs. 6.91 lakh to Rs. 8.14 lakh. These are ex-showroom (Delhi) prices. For reference, let us tell you that the price of Maruti WagonR starts at Rs 5.47 lakh. Ignis is available in six monotone colors, which are Turquoise Blue, Lucent Orange, Nexa Blue, Glistening Grey, Silky Silver and Pearl Arctic White. It also comes in three dual-tone color options – Nexa Blue with Black Roof, Nexa Blue with Silver Roof and Lucent Orange with Black Roof.
