auto news desk, French automobile company Renault Motors has started testing its third generation Duster. This car can be launched in the country by the year 2025. This SUV will come in 5 and 7 seating layouts in the country. This car will compete with cars like Hyundai Creta and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara in 5-seater version, while in 7-seater version it will compete with cars like Kia Carens, Hyundai Alcazar and Tata Safari.
what will the design be like?
The new model gets roof rails, squarish wheel arches, pull-type door handles at the front and C-pillar integrated rear door handles. Its rear profile is similar to the Bigster concept SUV. It gets twin pod-style spoiler and boomerang shaped taillamps.
What will the powertrain be like?
The option of plug-in hybrid and electric powertrain can be seen in the new Renault Duster. The SUV earlier came with a 1.3L turbo petrol engine that produced 156bhp, which was considered quite good. Apart from the new-gen Duster, Renault India will also enter the entry-level electric vehicle segment in the coming years.
