auto news desk,The figures of car sales in February have come before us. Maruti Suzuki has once again become the largest car selling company in the country. Maruti Suzuki India’s (MSI) total sales (domestic + exports) grew by 5 per cent in the month of February. The company has sold a total of 1,72,321 units last month. A year before this, in February 2022, the company had sold 1,64,056 vehicles.
Coming to domestic sales, Maruti Suzuki’s wholesale sales in February stood at 1,55,114 units, up 11 per cent from 1,40,035 units in the same month last year. However, the company’s exports declined by 28 per cent to 17,207 vehicles in February 2023, from 24,021 units a year ago. Let us tell you that recently the company has crossed the milestone of selling one million units of its Eco Van. Apart from this, the company is getting excellent bookings for its Jimny and Franks SUVs.
Maruti Suzuki Sales February 2023
Sales in the mini segment, which includes Alto and S-Presso, are expected to increase to 21,875 units in February 2023 from 19,691 units sold in February 2022. There has also been an increase in demand for models in the compact segment (which includes Baleno, Celerio, Dzire etc.). Last month it sold 79,898 units, which sold in February 2022 at 77,795 units.
There was a decline in the case of Maruti Ciaz. It has sold only 792 units in the last month. Maruti Suzuki has rolled out new updates for the Ciaz in February 2023 with a new dual tone color scheme and updated features. Sales of utility vehicles (Brezza, Ertiga, S-Cross, XL6 and Grand Vitara) increased to 33,550 units in February 2023.
