auto news desk, China is one of the largest car markets in the world. But there are many companies out there who copy popular cars. Recently we came across pictures of the Chinese copy of the Suzuki Jimny. Now the Chinese company has prepared a duplicate of the Land Rover Defender SUV. This SUV has been named Jetour Traveller. Chery is a popular auto manufacturer from China, who has introduced this car. Its design will remind you of the Land Rover Defender.
this is the design
Like other SUVs, the Jetour Traveler is also built on a ladder-on-frame. The front-end of the SUV has been designed differently. A big Jetour badge can be seen on the front. The design of the headlamps is square but the design of the lights is different. The fog lamps are integrated into the bumper as well. The bonnet, wheel arches and fenders get a Land Rover Defender-like design.
The side profile of the SUV is boxy and that’s where the defender feel comes from. The design of the rear quarter glass is different from the Defender. Large size alloy wheels have been given in the SUV. At the rear, the spare wheel has been mounted on the tailgate and the taillights have been placed vertically, just like the Defender. It is a 5-door SUV and looks similar to the Land Rover Defender 110.
Engine & Power
The Chery Jetour Traveler will be offered with turbo-petrol, petrol-hybrid and plug-in hybrid EV versions. A 1.6 liter turbocharged petrol engine can be used in the SUV. This engine will be paired with a 7-speed DCT gearbox. The petrol hybrid version will use a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine. The PHEV version is expected to get a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine. All variants of the SUV will be offered with 4WD.
