auto news desk, Luxury car manufacturer Land Rover has launched its new model Defender 130 in the Indian market. This vehicle already comes in Defender 90 and Defender 110 models. The new Defender 130 has been brought in two trims HSE and EX. Its price ranges from Rs 1.30 crore to Rs 1.41 crore (ex-showroom, India). The special thing is that it is available in both petrol and diesel engine options. It is the longest model in the Defender lineup and this 3 row SUV offers seating for up to 8 people.
Feeling of luxury even when sitting behind
On the inside, the Defender 130 gets a 2+3+3 seating layout, making it the only luxury SUV that can seat more than seven people. Sliding and folding seats are available in the middle for access to the third row. Land Rover claims that the third row can seat three adults comfortably. The special thing is that the car has two sunroofs each, which gives better openness to the third row passengers. Along with this, the feature of 4-zone air conditioning has also been given in it.
Engine & Features
The Defender 130 gets two engine options: a 400hp, 550Nm 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder petrol engine, and a 300hp, 650Nm, 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder, diesel engine. Both the engines get mild-hybrid assistance and an 8-speed automatic gearbox. It also features air suspension, so that you can increase or decrease the ground clearance of the vehicle by pressing a button. Talking about the features, it gets 11.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, fully digital instrument cluster, connected car tech, wireless charging . It gets Meridian audio system, 14-way adjustable front seats, 360-degree surround camera, matrix LED headlights and 20-inch wheels.
