car news desk, Citroën is all set to reveal its new SUV, the Citroën C3 Aircross globally on 27th April. Just ahead of its unveiling, the brand has released another teaser of the SUV, which has revealed a lot of the front end of the car. The manufacturer had earlier shown the DRLs and headlamps of the SUV in a photo. The car will share its platform with the C3 hatchback and will be locally manufactured in India. The car will sit as a model between the C3 and C5 Aircross in relation to Citroën’s vehicle portfolio.
While the front end of the car looks similar to the C3 with its split headlight setup, its higher stance and rugged profile give it a more robust presence. The car is also likely to come with some additional features from the C3 along with some changes made to the cabin. It is likely to come with two engine options in its portfolio: a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated and a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, which will generate around 108 bhp power and 190 Nm of peak torque. The car will be offered with only a manual gearbox for now, however, an automatic variant could be launched later. An electric variant of the C3 Aircross is also expected to arrive.
